Water

Hooray for water and being hydrated. Yesterday I dehydrated myself and had horrible horrible side-effects; things which I never knew were possible. I did not feel dehydrated, but I had been feeling pretty thirsty for a few days (as you may have seen on FB) thanks to an antibiotic. Then I went on a long run with my friend. This was the biggest torture run of my life (and hers) and I am slightly traumatized. She got big blisters half-way in (the only way back was several miles of running) and the last few miles I was starting to feel my dehydration misery. After a few prayers and "you can do it" thoughts, and about 30 torturous minutes, I made it back. I ran to a drinking fountain and was DYING of thirst by this point, and the water was shut off! Cruel trick #2. Go back an hour or so, mid-run we were both already really thirsty and we stopped at a bathroom facility and there was something on the wall that looked like a drinking fountain but it wasn't - cruel trick #1. That was torture.

So please be wise and drink water. I say this really for myself, not so much for you. Silly Sarah.
